AppImport captures through a virtual iPhone on your Mac
Meta Glasses for Mac runs the official Meta AI app inside a virtual iPhone and bridges the Mac's Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connections. Its documented workflow pairs glasses and imports photos, videos and language packs through that app. The project calls this experimental and does not publish separate compatibility results for each glasses generation.
You need an Apple Silicon Mac on macOS 15 or later, a Meta account, signed source builds and your own authorized Meta AI app and firmware files. Setup enables research guests, relaxes the Mac's SIP debugging restrictions and installs a privileged helper. RootHide and rootless bootstrap components run inside the virtual iPhone guest.
