Rockbox
FirmwarePlay more audio formats with Rockbox
Rockbox is replacement music-player firmware for selected iPods and other portable players. It adds support for more audio formats, configurable interfaces, playlists and file-based music management.
Installation needs a model-specific bootloader and compatible firmware build. The original iPod hardware generations differ substantially, and Rockbox does not turn an iPod touch or an unsupported later nano into a supported player.
