FrameMate

App

Check your Steam Frame from an Android phone

FrameMate pairs an Android app with a small agent on Steam Frame to show battery levels, downloads and system status. It can mirror the headset to the phone and send selected phone notifications into VR over the local network.

Install the agent on the headset and the APK on the phone, then scan the pairing code. The current connection uses TLS with a pinned headset certificate. The project was tested on SteamOS 0.4.3 beta and uses undocumented Steam interfaces, so system updates can interrupt features.
