FirmwareBuild tracks and edit FM-1 sounds in a browser
FM1 Open combines eight tracks, multiple instrument types, sample slots and effects with M-VAVE’s browser workbench. Edit sounds, prepare projects and transfer them to the FM-1 over USB.
Back up voices, samples and projects before changing firmware; files from other FM-1 firmwares are not interchangeable. The application source is GPL-licensed with an SDK linking exception, while part of the sound engine remains a separately licensed, FM1-only binary.
