See temperatures and set your Mac's fan speed
FanBar is a menu bar app that shows CPU, GPU, SSD and battery temperatures and fan RPM, and sets fan speed with fixed RPM targets or editable temperature curves. It reads the Mac's AppleSMC sensors and leaves macOS in control until you approve a signed helper for manual control.
The README says it supports macOS 11 and later on Apple silicon and Intel Macs that expose readable AppleSMC fan data, and it tries to return to Automatic when the app quits or the helper fails. Fanless Macs such as the MacBook Air have no fan to control. Manual control installs a root helper; its source only reads fan keys and sets fan targets, and it accepts connections only from the signed FanBar app.
