Plug-inAutomate the heat pump through its infrared remote
ESPHome’s Mitsubishi infrared component sends remote-control commands from an ESP board to a compatible indoor unit. It exposes those controls to Home Assistant, a home automation hub, and an optional infrared receiver can follow commands from the original remote.
You need an infrared transmitter aimed at the unit and a configuration matching its supported modes. Infrared provides no confirmation of the heat pump’s actual state, so the displayed state can differ when a command is missed.
