FirmwareControl your air conditioner on your own network
ESPHome is open-source firmware for small Wi-Fi boards. Its Haier component replaces an air conditioner’s cloud Wi-Fi module and reads status over the appliance’s wired serial connection. This puts temperature, power, mode and fan controls on your own network without an hOn account.
You need a compatible module connector and an ESP32 board, plus Home Assistant, a home automation system, or an MQTT server. Replacing the factory module removes hOn remote access for that air conditioner. Some factory modules are encrypted and cannot be reflashed, and model-specific packet differences can limit the available controls.
