ESPHome BEST Hood
Plug-inControl your BEST hood from Home Assistant
This ESPHome project connects supported BEST kitchen hoods to Home Assistant, a system for controlling smart-home devices. A nearby ESP32 communicates with the hood over Bluetooth, letting you adjust the fan, lighting and supported automatic features without sending those commands through a cloud service.
Three BEST models have reported working installations. You must configure and power an ESP32 close to the hood. Other BEST models have not been verified, and only one direct Bluetooth connection can be active at a time. Four-level lighting coverage needs confirmation: the reviewed shared YAML maps and clamps to three levels, while a WCS1306SS owner reports all four working and the maintainer confirms the available functions.
