Tethered shooting with a live preview on Linux
Entangle is a GTK desktop app for tethered shooting, meaning you shoot from the computer with the camera connected. It uses libgphoto2, the library that talks to cameras over USB, to show a live preview, change camera settings and save images straight to a folder. It runs locally and sends nothing to Canon.
Because it uses libgphoto2, it works with the Canon models in that library's camera table, and which features work depends on the model. One guide reports switching Capture Target to internal RAM on a Canon PowerShot A640.
You build it with Meson or install it from a Linux distribution. No Mac or Windows build is documented.
Also works with Nikon
