FirmwareRead circuit power without Emporia’s cloud
Emporia Vue Local replaces the ESP32 firmware on Vue 2 and Vue 3 monitors with ESPHome. Circuit readings go directly to Home Assistant, a home-automation server, so monitoring can continue without an internet connection.
The first installation requires access to the board and a USB serial adapter; it replaces the normal Emporia app connection. Back up the original firmware and follow the guide for your hardware revision. Never flash the monitor while it is connected to mains electricity, and leave electrical-panel work to a qualified person.
