Windows remote control, live view and time-lapse
digiCamControl is a Windows program for remote shooting. Over USB it controls exposure settings, shows live view, runs bracketing, focus stacking and time-lapse, and can serve a web page for remote use. It runs locally and does not need a Canon account.
The project's cameras page lists Canon models from the 40D through the EOS R series, the M series and a few PowerShots. It names the 5D Mark III and IV but not the 5D Mark II or 7D Mark II, and lists only the SX70 HS, G5 X Mark II, G7 X Mark III, G6 and G9 among PowerShots. The project also controls Nikon cameras.
You install it on Windows and connect the camera over USB.
