CleanYourTV turns off the preinstalled apps you don't use over the TV's debugging connection, then replaces the ad-filled Home screen with a simple launcher of your apps. Nothing is uninstalled, and one command restores it.
You run it from a computer on the same Wi-Fi, with a coding assistant like Claude Code or by hand, in about 15 minutes. Contributors document tested profiles for hundreds of TV models. On Fire TV it only does the cleanup, and a few China-market TCL TVs won't take a new Home screen.
