A package manager for ChromeOS itself
Chromebrew adds a package manager, `crew`, to ChromeOS and installs gcc, make, git and other tools under /usr/local on ChromeOS itself, not into the Linux container. The repo holds over 2,600 package recipes, so it suits people who want command line software on ChromeOS without a separate Linux install.
It needs developer mode, which erases local data and weakens ChromeOS's security protections, and on ChromeOS M117 and later the installer must be run from a VT-2 terminal, not crosh. The README says beta, dev and Canary channels aren't supported. x86_64 and armv7l are supported, i686 with limits, and an aarch64 userspace only gets armv7l packages.
