Tune a Mazda3’s sound from your own measurements
CarEQ measures how a car’s equalizer changes its sound, then suggests slider settings for a target you choose. Play its test sweeps from a USB drive, record them with a microphone and analyze the recordings on a computer. You apply the settings manually in the car.
The documented measurements use a 2021 Mazda3 hatchback with standard, non-Bose audio and the 13-band Customize EQ. Use a calibrated microphone and repeat the measurements for your own cabin; the project’s example profiles come from one car. This installation builds only the Python source and omits bundled third-party target data; you supply your own target curve. An Android app is planned, and broader hardware compatibility is unverified.
