batt
AppStop your MacBook charging past a set level
batt limits how far an Apple silicon MacBook's battery charges, with a lower and upper bound, and can charge to 100% once without changing the limit. It has a command line tool and a native menu bar app, and it writes charging settings through the Mac's SMC. It reads no accounts and sends no data.
It is for Apple silicon MacBooks only. The README's compatibility table goes by firmware version: Sequoia and Tahoe firmware work in the menu bar app and prebuilt command line, while Sonoma and older are partial. Apple added a built-in Charge Limit (80 to 100%) in macOS 26.4, and the README says batt is still useful on older releases and for limits below 80%.
