AsteroidOS
FirmwareReplace Wear OS on an original Huawei Watch
AsteroidOS replaces the software on the original Huawei Watch and Huawei Watch 2 with a Linux watch system. It runs local watch apps and connects to a phone over Bluetooth for notifications, weather and music controls.
Unlocking the bootloader erases the watch, and installation uses a computer with ADB and fastboot. Watch 2 loses microphone and speaker support, and the LTE model also loses cellular service. Huawei GT, Fit and later HarmonyOS watches are not supported by this firmware.
- Use a companion that keeps data local
- Install apps and faces from local files
- Local timer, calendar and other watch apps
- Alternative Bluetooth companions
