FirmwareLimit optional analytics and viewing-history sharing
Apple's built-in settings can disable optional analytics and cross-company tracking permission, disconnect video apps from the TV app, and stop viewing history being used for personalization. These controls do not stop streaming services collecting data needed to provide their service.
Use the tvOS settings below and repeat profile-specific choices for each profile. Apple's separate Personalized Ads control is documented on iPhone, iPad and Mac; no corresponding tvOS switch was verified. Turning that companion-device setting off reduces ad targeting there, not the number of ads or all Apple TV collection.
