240p Test Suite
AppTest picture quality with console-native patterns
240p Test Suite runs on a Mega Drive or Genesis and supplies patterns for checking a display, video processor and console output. A separate Sega CD or Mega-CD build runs from a homebrew CD-R.
The cartridge build needs a compatible flash cartridge, while the CD build requires the matching expansion and regional release. It tests the picture and audio setup without providing commercial games or replacing the console firmware.
