Every time you start a long Claude Code, Codex, or Cursor run and close your MacBook lid to walk away, macOS triggers Clamshell Sleep, drops Wi-Fi, and kills your agent. Bare caffeinate only blocks idle sleep. Raw sudo pmset -a disablesleep 1 leaves your screen unlocked and cooks your MacBook to 50°C+ in a backpack.
