Project Title: Revitalization of Paramaribo Skatepark
Funding Amount Requested: $1,700 USD (.71 eth)
Funds Already Secured: $300 USD (through VRBS Grant) in collaboration with rocketman.eth
Project Duration: 2 weeks
Summary
The skatepark in Paramaribo, Suriname, is a vital recreational space for local youth and skateboard enthusiasts. Over time, it has fallen into disrepair, with chipped paint, surface cracks, and damaged structures. With the growing skateboarding community, it is essential to refurbish the skatepark to provide a safe and appealing environment. I have secured $300 through the VRBS grant and are requesting an additional $1,700 to cover the remaining costs of repairs and repainting.

Complete the project swiftly, within a 2-week period, to minimize disruption for skatepark users.

Justification for Immediate Funding
The skatepark is in urgent need of repair. Delaying this project could lead to further deterioration, raising future costs and posing safety risks to users. With the rainy season approaching, it is critical to complete the project as soon as possible. The $300 secured through the VRBS grant demonstrates our commitment and readiness to begin the project.
By securing the remaining $1,700, i can immediately hire contractors and engage volunteers, ensuring the project is completed within two weeks of receiving funds.
Community Impact
Revitalizing the skatepark will:
Create a safe environment for over 150 regular skateboarders and BMX riders.
Encourage community engagement by offering a well-maintained public space.
Promote physical activity and foster community pride among the youth of Paramaribo.
Conclusion
By funding this project, VRBS will contribute to the improvement of a vital public space for the youth of Paramaribo. With your support, we can provide a safe, vibrant skatepark that will serve as a hub for community interaction for years to come.
Thank you for considering our proposal. I look forward to your support in making this project a success
